The Association of Administrative Directors, or AAD, supports a comprehensive network of over 78 clinical research facilities. The organization currently supports over 9,000 clinical research scientist and 6,000 patient-oriented research studies.
The purpose of this organization is to support the efficiency and effectiveness of administrating a General Clinical Research Center. This organization seeks to attain the following goals:

To enhance communication among the members, their support institutions, and the Clinical Research program of the National Center for Research Resources of the National Institutes of Health.

To enhance collegiality and promote professional growth and development of its members. This may be accomplished through continuing education and development as well as through formal and informal meetings and discussions.

To develop and promote professional standards consistent with GCRC guidelines and NIH policy.
